If the Sprayer is clogged, put your finger on the red insert inside of the button nozzle and cover it. While covering, press down on the button to force air to flow in reverse. Remove the product container by twisting it off the Sprayer, hold the Sprayer upside down and try to spray propellant.
In the Preval Sprayer, paint and the propellant never mix in their liquid state. To clean your Preval Sprayer, simply spray paint thinner alone for 10 seconds. Paint thinner is the product used to condition the paint to allow for better spray flow.

I know the subject of painting has been beaten to death here on the forums, but I was wondering if anybody here used a "Preval" bottle to paint a frame. For those who are unfamiliar with these things, a "Preval" (that's the brand name) bottle is simply a small glass jar with an aerosol "power unit" screwed to the top. The package they come in shows a bicycle that was painted red but I don't know if that was the whole frame or just parts and/or touch-up. You can apparently spray any kind of paint you want instead of doing "can jobs".

This results in an unadulterated finish with no color change. The price of this unit, you sure get a lot for your money. Nice to have all the bottles, glass and plastic, and different size plastic ones.

I work on military vehicles for a defense contractor and I use these everyday at work and they're great for touch up and stenciling. However the mil spec paint I use is flat and I haven't used these bottles for anything else. I asked my team leader if you can buy these retail and he said you can get them at Home Depot. You can also buy the power units separately when they get "spent" and keep using the same jar.
The Preval Sprayer is easy and efficient to use. Easy replacement and cleanup with interchangeable and disposable parts. Use with the medium of your choice and custom mix your own colors. Store medium in the included lidded containers. I'm really pleased with the way it came out with the preval spray. If you do not properly clean your Preval Sprayer you will have trouble using it in the future as any contamination will reduce the Preval Sprayer’s output or even clog it completely.
Is the Preval Sprayer recyclable?
If you're working on an area that's a square foot or so, or square inches... Like anything, if you need large coverage, you need real spray equipment. I keep one on the shelf for touch-up stuff, so I guess you'd say I've found them pretty useful. Also, as mentioned before, some of these modern paints are terribly toxic. It's not just what you breath, but keeping it off your skin as well.

Thinners include water, acetone, mineral spirits and/or lacquer thinner. Whatever thinner you are using for your solution, you can also use for cleaning. Use the proper cleaning agent as specified by the manufacturer for the paint liquid you are using. Preval’s shipping policy is dependent on whether you are a domestic buyer or an international buyer.
